We run all our surgeries by an appointment only system. Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery.
ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS: – Can usually be booked upto two weeks in advance. You may find that if you have a preference for an individual GP, you may have a longer wait to get an appointment.
SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS: – These appointments are for patients’ who cannot wait for the next available routine appointment, either because their condition has deteriorated significantly or a new “urgent” problem has arisen.
HOME VISITS: – Are strictly for housebound and terminally ill patients only. If you feel that a home visit is necessary, please call the surgery before 10:30am. The GP will then decide whether a home visit is necessary or the patient can be offered an appointment in surgery.
TELEPHONE APPOINTMENTS/CONSULTATIONS: – Are ideal if you have a ‘simple’ query about your condition/therapy etc. These appointments/consultations are available every morning.
ONLINE SERVICES :- You are now able to book appointments online. To do this, please contact Liz Turner at the surgery to obtain your user name and password, then log-on to the link and follow the instructions – https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/account/login
We find that by offering the above types of appointments we keep the system easy to understand for all patients, meet all government requirements and everyone that requests to be seen/spoken to can be catered for appropriately.
If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify the surgery as soon as possible, so that the appointment can be offered to someone else.
